Better than Julia Childs

Recently, Johanna Soli, mother of our Sr. Martha sent a heavy package to Sister. What could it be? On opening it, Sr. Martha's face lit up with a huge grin. "LEFSE!"

What is lefse? Well, if you are Norwegian you already know. For the rest of us, leftse is a Norwegian pastry made of potatoes and flour and rolled into a thin dough and grilled. It's a lot of work to make lefse.

Mom Soli's lefsae was served today for dessert. Sr. Martha buttered and sugared each one and rolled it into a log.

IT WAS DELICIOUS!

Thank you, Mom Soli!

PS We corrected our mistake. It's Lefse not LefTse! (Sister Blogger is obviously not Norwegian!)
