Sr. Mary Magdalene begins Integration

Today is a big day for Sr. Mary Magdalene as she officially leaves the novitiate and begins her integration period in the Professed community. According to our Constitutions, a sister in temporary vows must integrate at least one year prior to her solemn profession. In our monastery, the sister integrates at the end of her first two years of temporary profession. It is always a bittersweet moment as a sister leaves the "nursery" of her religious vocation; and while the professed sisters are delighted to welcome the "new" sister, the novitiate sisters experience something of a loss as they "lose" their companion.

Professed dormitory

Sr. Mary Magdalene moves into her new cell in the Professed dorm.

Please keep Sister in your prayers as she begins this new phase in her religious life.
