Cainta Bound

Today our Sr. Maria Agnes headed back to our foundation in Cainta, Rizal Philippines. Actually, the Monastery of Our Lady of the Rosary in the Philippines is not a new foundation but now 27 years old. Although each monastery is autonomous, a nun can be elected prioress from any monastery and the nuns in Cainta elected our Sr. Maria Agnes a year and half ago so off she went back to her native land.

Sr. Maria Agnes returned 6 weeks ago to participate in the General Assembly of the Nuns of the Order of Preachers held in September and brought along Sr. Maria Remedios who is staying with us until December. This is her first visit to the USA and she is in awe over the beautiful foliage and looking forward to her first snow!

Earlier in the year, Sr. Maria Guadalupe arrived for a year with us and with the 3 sisters here we have what one sister dubbed a "Little Cainta". We love having the sisters with us and also appreciate their great generosity while they are here.
