Monday evening, Sr. Mary Martin, prioress, and Sr. Mary Catharine, novice mistress, joined Joe Scheiber (L) and Peter DiPalma(R) in our parlour to tape a radio program for their new series, "Crisis of Faith, Shield of Truth: A Dominican Response". This new series will air on Holy Spirit Radio 1570 WISP AM in the next few months and will be available online.
Peter and Joe are starting the series by introducing the different branches of the Dominican Order and so our taping was about the contemplative branch of the Order. It was an engaging, keep-you-on-your-toes interview done in an atmosphere of true fraternal love for the Order and for the Church. And, of course, there was a lot of laughter!
For Sr. Mary Martin and Sr. Mary Catharine this was a totally new experience but Peter and Joe's thoughtful preparation and sense of humor put them both at their ease although afterwards Sr. Mary Catharine realized she'd drunk over a quart of water during the hour!
