"PEOPLE WILL LOVE HIM":
A Dominican's Inside View
of Pope Benedict XVI
Our community has been blessed in the friendship of our Dominican brother, Fr. J. Augustine DiNoia, O.P., the Vatican's Under-secretary for the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Before moving to Rome, he was a frequent visitor to our monastery. Fr. DiNoia's reports of his "boss" have always been glowing ones and, at the beginning of the conclave, we received (via our Washington, DC, monastery) a fax from him begging prayers for Cardinal Ratzinger's election to the papacy. We are pleased to share the interview he gave to Newsweek on Pope Benedict XVI's "beautiful personality". Click here to read the interview.
