Happy 200th Anniversary to our Brothers

of the Province of St. Joseph

Happy 100th Anniversary to the

Dominican House of Studies, Washington, DC.

It must be the most well kept secret outside of the world of the Dominican Order that our Brothers of this Province have converged on to DC, more specifically on Catholic University of America and the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, to celebrate this momentous double anniversary! Wednesday evening will be the public Mass celebrating this historical event. Theodore Cardinal McCarrick will be the main celebrant. Inside sources (ie. our chaplain) tell us that the Master of the Order, Carlos Aspiroz Costa, OP is also present.

Thursday evening will be the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Dominican House of Studies and our inside information tells us that the chapel will be air conditioned for this! WHAT? Air conditioning!? In DHS!? In the summer!? Anyone who has been at DHS in the summer knows what we're talking about!

Not to be left out of the party, the Dominican Laity (or Third Order) will be having their Congress from the 9th - 12th at the National Shrine.

So will the nuns be at any of these historical gatherings. Well, no. Besides, someone has to stay home and pray!
