The Easter Octave Ends

Tonight at Vespers we sang the Haec Dies for the last time until next Easter Octave. Well, not quite the last time as we'll sing a simpler English version at Compline tonight.

The Haec Dies is one of the most beautiful pieces of chant and it doesn't take long to pick it up and know it by heart especially singing it as often as we do during the Office of Easter Week.

So, we thought we'd share it with you. This is a live version, i.e. the Sisters didn't even know we were taping. Thus the little mistakes and coughs, not to mention that we missed the first note of the intonation!

Translation:
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice.
