Here is a glimpse into "noon recreation" with the novitiate!

Sr. Deepa received a heavy box in the mail from an unknown person! Who? On opening it she found packages of delicious homemade cookies—chocolate chip, ginger snaps, snicker doodles, and oatmeal— from a reader of her blog which she had while "in the world", as we say here in the monastery! Many thanks, Julie! We loved it!

Coming on our prioral election day it was a welcome surprise! (No matter what the day it was a welcome surprise!) We all enjoyed these yummy cookies! We made sure that they were kept up on the refrigerator for awhile so that the calories would fall out! What? You didn't know that calories don't like heights!

About the video: that's Gary, our workman, in the background in the kitchen scene getting his lunch. Shortly after, the sisters went out for a walk and met up with Sr. Mary Elizabeth and Sr. Maria Concepcion. And that critter at the end? That's Allen, one of our new bunnies!
