Dominican Cloistered Nuns of Oslo Featured on Front Page of the National Catholic Register

We were surprised and happy to see our sisters featured in an article on the Catholic Church in Norway in this week's Register. Unfortunately, you can only read it if you are a print subscriber (which we are) and have registered online. Right now, there seems to be a problem with the log-on feature of the Register's website but here is the front page. To learn more about Lunden Kloster in Norway go HERE.

Our monastery has always maintained ties with many of our monasteries throughout the world. Shortly after our foundation we were helping the nuns of Monte Mario in Rome after World War I. Such correspondence with our monasteries all over the world was mostly because of our late Sr. Mary Antoninus who spoke fluent French. Our archives are full of wonderful old letters, photos, etc.

Many nuns from Lunden Kloster speak English which makes it a lot easier!
Hearing from them their efforts toward a Catholic and monastic presence in a predominately Protestant country has always "enhanced" our life of prayer for the salvation of souls.

Please "stop by" and visit their website. It is English and there are many beautiful photos.
