February Vacation...Tis the Season For A Nun Run!

Tuesday, February 22nd, we had the privilege of hosting the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Nun Run led by Deepa Kingry, who was once a novice here. Carmen,Yuri, Melissa, Gracie, and Jessica drove with Deepa from Georgia first stopping at to visit the Visitation Sisters in Washington, DC. They arrived right before Office of Readings and then spent the afternoon visiting the novitiate sisters (and Sabina) who found their visit a wonderful excuse to serve cookies and punch.

After Vespers and supper the group gathered again to share vocation stories and answer questions. The time passed too quickly so, although the Sisters tried to keep their stories short we only got as far as the 2 postulants! After attending Compline the girls spent time throughout the night in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. We were happy to see that they even all made it to Lauds the next morning at 6 AM. After Mass it was then time to head out on the next leg of their journey, this time to Ohio!
