Good Friday

The Sisters make their way to the Cross, on which is attached a large relic of the True Cross. Each sister makes a prostration (the venia), kisses the Cross and returns to her place in choir.

The sisters go up barefoot in Dominican tradition.

Sr. Denise Marie brings the Cross the the Sisters who cannot go in procession to make the venia.
The schola sings the Post Communion
The Cross is kept with four candles in the Choir until sundown.

A close-up of our precious relic given to us in our first days in Summit by our nuns of the Monastery in Monte Mario, Rome.
