Sunday

The tree men were here all last week cleaning up the monastery grounds and sawing down broken tree limbs. All day the sounds of chain saws and trucks were the background "music" of our monastic life! So, today we doubly enjoyed the silence that is Sunday in the monastery!

Here you can see our beautiful pecan tree near St. Dominic's garden. We really thought that the whole tree would have to be cut down. Compared to what it was before there isn't much left standing!
