Association Council Meeting

From February 11th to the 16th Sr. Mary Catharine attended the annual council meeting for our Association of Monasteries. This year our sisters of the Monastery of the Infant Jesus in Lufkin, TX hosted the meeting. Their generous hospitality made the sometimes laborious work at hand so much easier!

Two days after our arrival, their Sr. Mary Catherine went home to God, surrounded by all her sisters and Fr. Dominic Izzo. Sr. Mary Catherine was known by all as she was the first president of our Conference of Dominican Nuns, the forerunner of our current Association.

Sr. Mary Catharine tells us that in between coffee and snacks they planned and re-planned the schedule for our General Assembly which is held every 4 years and will be held this September. We will have the privilege of having Fr. Bruno Cadore, OP, Master of the Order with us for 2 days!
