A Joyous Rosary Sunday!
Rosary Sunday and Crowning of our Lady of Fatima was a joyous and beautiful time here at the monastery! The weather was perfect! We were afraid that, because of the many parishes having First Holy Communion, turnout would be low. Just the opposite. It was the biggest crowd in many years. Of course, the crowd could easily be even bigger! (There is always the October Pilgrimage!) Fr. Augustine gave a beautiful and deeply nourishing sermon on the Rosary and the Year of Faith and how the Rosary helps us grow in our faith and preach the Good News. Catherine Mary was lovely as she crowned Our Lady. (Hmm, maybe another 10 years and she'll be a postulant?)
We were happy to meet many first-time pilgrims in the parlor after the Holy Hour and it was heart-warming to see a spontaneous group of young people all meeting and sharing that they are discerning a vocation to priesthood or the religious life. May Our Lady reward them for coming and continue to lead each one closer to the heart of her Son!
Below is a slideshow of the day. Enjoy and see you in October!
