Coming...and Going

COMING....This Friday 2 of our student brothers who were missioned in NYC this summer came for a visit before returning to the Dominican House of Studies. Bro. Vincent Ferrer and Bro. John Baptist spent Friday afternoon with us much to our great delight. They shared with us stories of their summer and life at a very full Dominican House of Studies. We love it when our brothers come to visit and it is always so encouraging to meet the newer brothers and see them as they go from "new" novices to "old" professed. The Brothers enjoyed their time as well and especially enjoyed Sr. Mary Cecilia's brownies!

GOING... Saturday morning our three student sisters, Sr. Joseph Maria, Sr. Maria Teresa and Sr. Mary Amata left for the Monastery of the Infant Jesus in Lufkin, TX for their last year of the Monastic Theological Studies Program. This year Fr. John Vidmar, OP will give them a whirlwind Church History class and the Rossi Professors, Margherita and Teodora will teach a class together on St. Thomas Aquinas. In the afternoons the Sisters will give their presentations.

We are so grateful to Sr. Mary Jeremiah and the Lufkin Community for these 4 years of hosting the program. It has been a rewarding experience for our sisters and we look forward to hosting the next 4 year cycle here at Summit.
