Opening of the Jubilee Year!
The Jubilee Year celebrating the 800th Anniversary of the Order of Preachers will be opened this Saturday on the Feast of All Dominican Saints! All around the world the Jubilee will be opened by Dominican communities with a procession, ritual of light, and a ritual of sending incorporated into either the Mass or Divine Office.
Our Monastery will open the Jubilee at the 7:15AM community Mass and everyone is invited to join us for this great occasion! We'd like to especially invite our chapter of the Lay Fraternity of Saint Dominic as well as any other Dominicans in the area, be they friars, sisters, laity, priestly fraternity, or members of the Dominican youth.
Please come early as the opening ceremony is held in the vestibule at the back of the church with the nuns and Father. You don't want to walk in in the middle of it!
