Solemn Profession Party

Soon after a Sister makes her Solemn Profession the community has its own day of celebration. Although it is Lent we decided to have the celebration on the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter because we'll be having another party for Sr. Mary Jacinta after Easter.

The day is "up to the discretion of the newly professed" and we had a delightful and relaxing day. Some sisters played "Murder in the Monastery". Others just chatted. And others were busy in the kitchen providing many wonderful things to eat!

The day was also Sr. Judith Miryam's 50th Birthday and the Sisters surprised her with a special song to mark this milestone!
