Pumpkin Fun!

A yearly tradition for the novitiate is carving pumpkins. You may remember from years past that our current novitiate is particularly skilled in this craft. Sr. Maria Johanna just has a way with pumpkin art! Naturally we had high expectations, and we were not disappointed. This year she carved Saint Dominic from Fra Angelico's "The Mocking of Christ" ! The rest of the novitiate did a beautiful job as well. One creative carving is a jack-o-lantern on a jack-o-lantern. In the dark you almost can't tell that it is carved onto the side of the pumpkin...it looks like it is the pumpkin itself!
