Meet our New Novice!

On the feast of St. Augustine, our postulant Sr. Rebecca was clothed in the Dominican habit and received her religious name:

Sister Maria Julia of the Eucharist

She chose her name after Bl. Julia Rodzińska, a Dominican sister beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1999. She died in the Stutthof concentration camp in 1945, remembered by her fellow prisoners as an angel of comfort and hope in the midst of the darkness of the camp. We posted a biography of Bl. Julia a few months ago, which you can read here.

Please keep Sr. Maria Julia in your prayers as she begins her novitiate!
