GREENHOUSE COMPLETED!
Proudly presenting our monastery's greenhouse!
At long last, the greenhouse is finished! The project was a real labor of love from our sisters and workmen. Jeff even installed a thermometer in our refectory which shows the interior temperature of the greenhouse and the temperature outside so we be sure that the optimal climate is being maintained. Beyond providing a wonderful home St. Dominic's Tree and our warm-weather plants and seedlings, the greenhouse really complements the distinctive multi-hued brick of our monastery building, making it a lovely addition. May the Lord reward all whose hands and prayers made the greenhouse a reality!

St. Dominic's Orange tree is thriving in
the midst of the its smaller "brethren."
Sr. Denise Marie was one of the primary
overseers (midwives?!) of the greenhouse.
A view of the "wall entrance" for the orange tree.
Looks like the door of a fortress, huh?
