Two chants from Easter Sunday Vespers
Below are two chants from Easter Sunday Vespers. The Haec Dies is the responsory sung after the capitulum at Lauds and Vespers and the Little hours everyday throughout the Easter Octave. Haec Dies
Christus resurgens is the Commemoration of the Memory of the Cross sung on Easter Sunday, Monday and Tuesday after the Magnificat. Below is an English adaptation written by Sr. Maria of the Cross (+2012).
The photo is obviously not in choir but a group of sisters decorating eggs for Easter Sunday breakfast! It might not look like a "religious activity" but in the monastery everything, even something as simple and as fun as decorating eggs is "sacred" because as consecrated women everything we do is offered as a sacrifice of praise to God!
