Garden Surprise

The other day Sr. Joseph Maria was going about the business of tending her vegetable garden when she stumbled across a bunny nest. Those are some smart bunnies; not only are they camped out in the rabbit equivalent of the kitchen table, but the fence keeps them safe from Sabina, our Golden Retriever. When sister stooped to look over the nest the tiny occupants fled, except for one which was quite content to be picked up and loved on a little.  Sister brought her find to the novitiate in the soap department. At one point the rabbit decided it had had enough of being handled and went to make a flying leap, but was deftly caught by Sr. Mary Martin and returned to its outdoor home. We love the wild rabbits on our property....well, whenever they aren't eating our vegetables and flowers!
