Construction Progress!

Our new wing is quickly taking shape before our eyes! It seems like only yesterday that they were tearing down the wall, and now both the main floor and the basement have been poured and the steel structure is going up! We can begin to see rooms and corridors taking form as the interior steel supports are placed. The interior of the old parlor, bathroom, and volunteers' office is also keeping pace, although there have been some surprises for the crew along the way! Now that the parapet over the old parlor entrance has been demolished, we have a great view of the construction from that cell's window. The gigantic mounds of dirt that have littered the front lawn have been graded, so we no longer have people asking "What's going on behind those big piles of dirt?" Here's a look at the progression of the construction:
