Welcome, Sr. Bridget!

On Wednesday, July 3rd Bridget entered our Monastery to begin her time of formation to become a Dominican nun. Although we used the same entrance ceremony, there were a few details about this entrance that were different. For one thing, the clothing! Instead of a blue jumper with a white veil, Sr. Bridget entered with a blue skirt, white shirt, and no veil. Why? Because due to some changes introduced by the instruction for contemplative nuns, Cor Orans, concerning the timing of the different stages in initial formation Sr. Bridget entered as an aspirant and will, God-willing, begin postulancy in a couple of months. Cor Orans requires a full year for the aspirancy period and Sr. Bridget was a little short of that so she’ll have to wait a few months before she can begin postulancy.

Please keep our new sister in your prayers!
