Sister Maria Mercedes of Jesus
On the feast of St. Luke, our postulant Sr. Natalie received the Dominican habit and the name Sister Maria Mercedes of Jesus. “Maria de las Mercedes” is a Spanish title for Our Lady of Ransom, also known as Our Lady of Mercies. Sister Maria Mercedes has chosen the Sacred Heart of Jesus as her feast day. She looks radiant in her new habit, and the name fits her perfectly!
Please remember Sister Maria Mercedes in your prayers as she begins her two years of novitiate.
