Music for Our Lady of the Rosary

For the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, the patronal feast of our monastery, this year we did something special - we tried out hand chimes! Our sisters put together an arrangement of Pachelbel Canon for hand chimes, violin, and organ. We had never tried playing hand chimes together as a community before, so this was a new and very fun experience!

The pictures above are from our first practice session a few days before. We played the Canon in choir as a prelude before Mass on the solemnity of Our Lady of the Rosary this past Saturday. You can listen to the recording below!
