Apple Picking

Last week we had an “apple picking party” and picked baskets and baskets full of apples from the apple trees in our orchard, munching on the apples as we went. One of our apple trees was planted from the seed of a normal grocery store apple, which grew up to bear delicious apples. Batches of homemade applesauce have been appearing on the table, and perhaps apple pie or maybe apple cider soon too!

The weather has been cooler the last week or two which along with the apple picking has made it start to feel like Fall, but the next few days are forecasted to be hot - a reminder that it is still Summer for a few more weeks!
