Mass and Visit with Fr. Bernard Knapke, O.P.

It was a joy to have newly ordained Fr. Bernard Knapke, O.P. celebrate Mass for us this past Saturday. After the Mass, he offered us his priestly blessing and then visited with us in the parlor. Fr. Bernard was ordained the previous Saturday at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. along with nine other friars. All ten of them sent a beautiful card with Fr. Bernard thanking us for our prayers and support. Fr. Bernard has been on a sort of tour of monasteries since his ordination, saying Mass for the nuns and thanking them for their prayers - his whole ordination class visited our monastery in Linden, VA (not far from D.C. where they were ordained) just after the ordination, and since then he’s visited several more.

Please keep Fr. Bernard and all of our newly ordained friars in your prayers as they begin their priestly ministry!
